See ya' next year !!!
Welcome to our very last Newsletter of the year 2005. Wow, what a year !!! we sure had plenty of activities and fun.
To end the year we decided to attend, once again, the Mexican Auto Show. Despite having a first glance at the Cayman S Launch, we took the opportunity of a second look.
We started at the Porsche stand where we found plenty of activity with the Cayman S test drive. Customers, prospects and press arrived at the Auto Show for a first look at the Cayman S and then taken to the track via helicopter for the chance to drive the Cayman S for a few laps at the track. This activity kept the Porsche stand busy and with plenty of people around.
I was not included for such driving activity so I stayed at the Auto Show...
...997 S dressed with Tequipment gear ... Frissen Gutierrez dressed in Selection gear...
... The Cayman S was there for everyone to enjoy...
... a real shame I was not included in the track program as it could have been a fantastic opportunity to drive, shoot and report to the world about this fantastic activity Porsche de Mexico put together for its customers and press... we enjoyed the Cayman S in static form only... my dad took the bottom photos for your enjoyment...
... meanwhile I took a closer look at the CGT...
... fantastic lines and best money to supercar ratio ever...
... the CGT engine stand was outstanding and very interesting... I spent a good 20 minutes going through it...
... and of course we couldn't miss the full Tequipment 997S...
... meanwhile the action continued at the Porsche stand... interviews given left and right to the press...
... Victor Ortiz, General Manager of Porsche Interlomas giving his point of view to MVS about the Porsche brand...
... meanwhile, a tieless Fernando Flores Beristain, Director of Porsche de Mexico was being interviewed for yet another car program...
... at the other side of the stand...
... Kolja Kiofsky enjoys the perks of the job... actually he was working, receiving all VIP's and press for the briefing on the Cayman S...
... nice angle taken from the Cayman S lounge where we had the chance to take a drink and some snacks...
... the view from the Cayman S Lounge was magnificent as you may see in the next images...
... it was time to leave the Porsche stand not without a very last pic...
... quite busy Cayman S lounge... nice podium with flat screen showing model data... nice models all around the stand... I have to commend Porsche de Mexico for a job well done at the Mexican Auto Show...
... I just love the juxtaposition of Auto Shows...
Porsche logo way up high so when you look up the first thing you see is... well it is very obvious... actually Porsche de Mexico chose an excellent location right at the center of the Auto Show and the stand was so high that the Ferrari stand was not visible at all... at first I almost miss it if it wasn't for Fernando Bayo who told me where the Ferrari stand was... between the Porsche stand the the restrooms way back there...
... 1 MC12 or 20 Boxsters... mmmhhhhh... I believe this juxtaposition worked well for Porsche actually... unaffordability against affordability... hey I can't have an MC12 but surely I can enjoy a Porsche Boxster why not...
... actually the MC12 was outstandig to look at... beautiful lines and aerodynamic details beyond one's mind... Italian art and design at its best...
... other stuff we saw at the Auto Show...
... I guess you will have to wait for my full report at Euro_Cars for an indepth look at the Mexican Auto Show...
