Newsletter 74 Porsche Parade Mexico 2009 - Part II
The Porsche Parade Mexico 2009 was a tremendous event, starting with the initial unique location, appalling Porsche variety, great comradery and friendship among Porsche enthusiasts and last but not least the use of the Historic Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in its 50th anniversary, all in high levels of organization and luxury thanks to Porsche de Mexico and its team.
Next year don't miss the Porsche Parade, for more info:
911's three abreast on the esses, wow!!! I certainly found the best spot to catch the action...

Clean, clear shot of 911 at speed by Frissen....
Very rare in Mexico 928 this one in correct Guards Red and at speed... shot by Frissen.

Also rare for Mexico a 944 in correct Guards Red doing some fast laps...
It was time for the classics to circle the track...
Classic Porsche al fresco...
President of the Porsche Club Puebla, Fernando Bayo didn't turn down the opportunity to enjoy a classic Porsche, this 356 carries an extraordinary history and looks fantastic specially at speed on this historic track...

356's entering the Autodromo...
MC called this shot "Porsche Family" and I think he is right... pretty self describing... enjoy!!!
Porsche family...
All Porsches lined up in the pitlane, at this point still arriving...
Bayos...
Of course we had to find the Bayo's once again enjoying the Porsches... Bibendum joined the fun!!!
Michelin...
Michelin was there in full force supporting the event...
Porsche kids...
We were glad to see many kids around...
Wheels...
While on the pitlane I decided to go look out for some intricacyes, like these old Ruf wheels made by Speedline... I often get asked if we have a large aftermarket industry and my answer to this is, no but when a Mexican enthusiast decides to do something he/she does it right from the very first time... I found wheels from BBS, Ruf, Fikse, TechArt, HRE, Champion and many other prestige manufacturers...
The track is waiting, let's go!!!
After much mingling participants were ready for some laps around the track, I myself was already back in the esses ready to shoot...
Leading the first pack was of course the new Panamera....
Orange photographs quite well, I have various good shots of this particular 911 yet I chose this one because I have been criticized for tilting the camera too much, what can I do I'm a tilting camera junkie, also I loved the intruding Panamera in the back a good view of past and present Porsche...
Classics...
CGT taking over Panamera certainly a nice view... both cars present an aggressive negative front camber...
CGT at speed...
Whoa!!! CGT at speed looks fantastic!!!
...another view of the infamous "Peraltada" that now is pretty much flat, but perhaps the most important turn in Mexico, even the mighty Ayrton Senna went upside down in this turn... filled with Porsches it looks amazing!!!
Here they come...
928...
White gator...
...correct Guards Red Cayman S at speed sporting TechArt Aero I parts and Formula I wheels...
911 Carrera...
White works quite well on the Cayman as we can see here...
Classic colors...

GT2...
Menacing looking GT2 fast on the track...
DNA test...
For this shot I decided to do a DNA test on the new Panamera and we can obviously see the Porsche DNA in the new Panamera...
The backstraight gave us the opportunity to look at various Porsches in a compact group... 997, Panamera, Boxster and more...
997 MkI and MkII enjoying the track with the new Panamera and Cayenne Turbo...
Porsche variety...
GT3, 997, 987 and the new Panamera make up for a fast Porsche group in the backstraight...
Fast group...
Back in the esses we catch this neat 996 MkII on nice OEM Turbo II wheels...
996...
Early white, wide 930 looks fantastic on the track... for some reason this 930 looks familiar...
Wide, white, classic...
The Porsches continued to lap around the track until the last rays of the evening...
Porsche variety is pretty evident from this point...
Whoa!!!

Part I of the Porsche Parade Mexico 2009 started in a very unique location, at the Angel of Independence, then a caravan of well over 200 Porsches took route to the Historic Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez to continue the festivities.
This year's track activities were very, very special as the Autodromo gets to its 50th year, the aura of the track was unique, the remembrance of the Rodriguez brothers was there in every corner, the long battles Porsche dealt in this track and now it was time for us, Porsche owners and enthusiasts, to enjoy it for ourselves, simply amazing...
Of course the ambiance of the event was all first class, the comradery, friendship and enthusiasm reached a high level never seen in past parades. In this part of the Parade, participants were able to take their Porsches on the track for a few laps and enjoy the performance of their machines, Porsche variety was immense and very enjoyable, but don't take it from me and...
Let's check out the action!!!
The first to arrive were the 356's... simply amazing shot by MC... love the 997 in the back irrupting the aura of the shot yet complementing it... this is what the parade is all about, Porsche variety...
Last evening rays...
Back to pitlane...
By the end of the fast laps all Porsches went back into the pitlane...
